Pulmonary Function Testing for asthma, COPD and other related pathologies.

When using our referral forms you can request a consultation with Dr. Dang or choose from the tests we provide which include methacholine challenge testing (to assess airway hyper-responsiveness) and respiratory muscle strength (used to assess patients with/for neuromuscular disease such as Lou-Gehrigs/ALS).

All testing also offers complimentary respiratory education, puffer/device teaching and a spacer used for MDI (metered-dose Inhalers) medications.

Journey Through Grief Group - Belinda Deis

​An eight week course dealing with grief and loss.

Fall and spring sessions will take place on Tuesday evenings from 7-9pm at Saamis Memorial Funeral Chapel in the Creekside Centre at #1 Dunmore Rd SE. Group size is 4-10 participants.

Program fee is $60 per person or $100 per couple.

The next session will run from September 18 until November 6, 2018.

Lifetalk Counseling Services - Brooks

Christian Based Counseling

Their counselors counsel people dealing with abuse, alcohol, drugs and sexual addictions, anger, anxiety, childhood adjustments, depression, domestic violence, grief, family, immigration adjustments, marriage, parenting, performance, pre-marital, relationships, self-esteem, stress,  trauma, and unresolved past issues, and more.


Services are available for adults, as well as children ages 5 and up. Children's services often involve a combination of sessions with both the family and child.

 

Group Seminars available through Lifetalk

“Anger and Its Many Faces” - a five week seminar offering a thorough and practical look at anger and its generators. Learn how to deal with frustration, hurt and fear before they are expressed as anger. Cost $20/person. Facilitated by Roxanne Hansen. Next session will will run on Tuesday evenings, September 11 to October 9, 2018 from 7:00-9:00pm. Participants will receive a Certificate of Completion, plus one (optional) “post-seminar” counselling session. It will be held in room 209 of the Community Cultural Centre where the Lifetalk office is located (327 3rd St W, Brooks). Those who are interested can call 403-362-2210 to register and for further information. 


“Active Parenting of Teens” - a six week video seminar offering skills, discussion and support to guide your teens through the most turbulent period of their lives. Cost $20/person, $40/couple. Facilitated by Arnie Weber.  Call 403-362-2210 for information on next session. 


"Understanding Grief and Loss" Explore the grief process to facilitate understanding of,  and healing for those who are struggling with loss, change or separation from loved ones. $20/person, $40/couple. Facilitated by Roxanne Hansen. Call 403-362-2210 for information on next session.


Walking Alongside the Depressed” - a seminar enabling participants to understand depression and current treatments, to encourage friends and family to helpfully walk alongside those struggling with depression. Call 403-362-2210 for information on next session.
