Good Samaritan Society - Medicine Hat

​South Ridge Village offers seniors multiple levels of support and the opportunity to age in place with 70 private continuing care suites and three 10-bed dementia care cottages.

Admissions are coordinated by the Alberta Health Services Placement Coordinator in Medicine Hat 403-528-8000

The Supportive Living program consists of 42 suites and provides accommodation and personal care services to residents in private suites. Call the facility for further information.

Good Samaritan Society Personal Pathways

​Participants may attend from one to five days per week, depending on individual need. Services include daytime caregiver respite, personal care assistance, bathing, social/recreational activities, and health promotion. Participants are served a hot meal at lunchtime.

As of April 1/15 the cost of this program has be reduced to $10/day per participant.

Referral to this program is no longer limited to AHS Home Care and now can also be completed by physicians, nurses and family members.

Oyen Seniors Lodge (Acadia Foundation)

​Our Lodge units are available in single (39 rooms) and double occupancy (3 rooms) size with double size having an overall larger living space. Our facility provides one bedroom, kitchen, living area, large bathroom with shower, space for microwave and bar size fridge. Full meal and housekeeping services (and Home Care Services if needed) are included.

The Prairie Estates units (12) are purchased and owned by the residents and are located on a separate wing of the Lodge. Two-bedroom suites with balconies, laundry room with washer/dryer, elevator, stove, fridge and dishwasher, smoke detector and sprinkler system, in-suite Emergency Response System and barrier-free bathroom provide independent living for a stress free retirement. Our low income Prairie Home units (8 units) are located on a separate wing of the Lodge. They provide additional living space and privacy, a full kitchen, bedroom, full bathroom with tub, common lounge area for socializing, laundry facilities and a separate entrance. The Wellington was selected by Alberta Health to provide 50 supportive living suites. Residents are selected through Alberta Health.
